The Wii opened the door to some new ways to enjoy games, and now looks like some Android developers have used the Sony Smartband / Watch API to be used with their game Aces of the Luftwaffe creating an alternative to screen swiping and tapping.

Sony's Smartwatch 2 and the Smartband are both used in the video to control the plane, which is a 1942 clone I guess, but a fun one all the same that's available now in the Google Play Store

Lets home this is a start of a new trend for alternative gameplay, AOTL is fun and works great with the Smartband Talk we reviewed just yesterday too, which absorbed an hour of my time in the blink of an eye.
