Yes, you read correctly, the OUYA external beta has arrived here at IHAG, we hope to give it a test drive shortly.
If there is anything you want us to try out, we are happy to do so, post a comment below and we will get on it as soon as we can.
The details from OUYA HQ....
- Probably obvious, but just in case: connect your drive using the USB port on the back of the OUYA.
- L3 from the main menu safely ejects your drive. There may be bugs if you yank the drive without ejecting first (but if you want to be a maverick and do it anyway, feel free to report issues you see).
- Right now we only recognize 1 external drive at a time, so you won’t be able to put a bunch of drives on a hub and see them all.
- We support FAT32 and NTFS, but not formats like exFAT.
- Games on external storage are currently associated with the OUYA they were downloaded from (so you can’t use the storage to transfer a game from one OUYA to another).
- We expect that you’ll be receiving more system updates as we fix reported issues.
- We expect USB storage to be fully functional. You can download games to it, move games to it, play games from it… just use it like a user!
Awesome !
