You probably want to know exactly how much power you have left in your Nexus 5 (or any other Kit Kat enabled device) Its a bit frustrating not knowing how much power you have left, right ?! Be good to see that magic number displayed.....
Well the smarty pants over at XDA have an apk which can do just that, no root is required for this to work.
Install the apk using the QR code, or visit the website XDA post here.
Once installed open the app, and check the box for allowing the actual % to be displayed inside your battery icon.
Reboot
Shazam, you now how the % displayed in your icon, you can uninstall the app if you wish but make sure you reinstall and reverse the procedure if you dont like it.
